Where are you attaching your pen tab to your Surface Pro 3?

The pen tab is designed to be attached to the keyboard. But when I detach the Pro3 from the keyboard I no longer have access to the pen. On my Surface Pro 1 I attached a loop to the right side which worked except when I put it in the docking station.

What are you doing to store your pen?

    Well, I think you have a pretty good setup.  On the kickstand, it does take a few hits but seems to stay out of the way.  Being on top would like yours would probably better.

    No aftermarket solutions I have heard of.  Somebody could probably make something with Velcro that could attach as well.

    I keep them at the top, right above the cameras. Very useful when using tablet in portrait, which I do for taking notes. Seems to be holding fine for now. Would like a better solution though. James' one looks awesome. Any aftermarket solutions?

    Well, when I got mine, I put the pen on the right side of the kickstand (looking at front of tablet).  The pen angles for easy access and it doesn't get in the way of anything.

    I attached it outside the tablet(on the metal side) at the right side of the top, when I have the tablet in laptop mode.

    Other way to explaining...my loop is placed between the camera lens and the left corner if you look at your tablet from the metal side. At the contrary side of the power button.

    You can place it on the right side of the tablet. There is a magnet and the pen will hold (bottom right side). Works perfectly!
