Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

I ended up going back to the Microsoft store and exchanging the GPU-bricked machine with a brand-new device. The tech support staff was extremely helpful which greatly reduced the severity of this unfortunate development. The new, out-of-the-box machine was loaded with v1803 and works perfectly. Since my old GPU-bricked SB2 was still within the warrantee period, the option for an exchange was still do-able and to Microsoft's credit they did it very courteously and quickly.
Based on my experience, I would still strongly recommend an SB2 to anyone without reservation. It is truly an excellent machine, and I really wouldn't be able to find a replacement that does the things I need this one to do. Hopefully Microsoft can get this v1903 issue resolved soon.
Now just wait for it to get an update on 1803 and have issues ;)
I dont know how you can recommend a decice riddled with issues.

Well, they've abandoned us power users since the May update bricked our GPU.
They've said that they are aware of the issue, and we all KNOW it is a software issue and NOT hardware.

And still waiting.
This is an UNACCEPTABLE way to treat your customers.
I'm sure I won't be the only power user here that owns the dGPU edition of the SB2 that can say that I will never recommend the SB range to anyone going forward.
