Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140
Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

Does anybody have the slightest guess as to when Microsoft is going to have a fix for this? I loved this machine prior to the 1809 update, but since that 'update' it has been functionally reduced to a standard low-cost laptop that could be purchased for 1/4 the cost.
I'd bought this SBII based largely on the GPU, which is now inoperable. In fact it's worse than that, as the GPU/1809 incompatibility has BSOD'd this device frequently resulting in a tremendous loss of work and time. I have contacted Microsoft support to get this issue resolved. but they appear to be non-responsive to my e-mails. Trying to call them -while I have done it a couple times- has turned out to be an exercise in futility (although the service agent was trying earnestly to get this resolved).
I guess I'm going to have to either return this machine, or maybe see if an exchange for a new one solves the problem? Maybe the GPU hardware has been updated in recent units? This particular SB2 is about 2 months old. Is it possible that the new SB2s have upgraded GPUs?
I would hate to have to return this machine as it has so many things that I like. But the GPU issue has caused very severe problems for me and I'm going to have to do something about it very quickly. I wish someone from the Surface Book development group would respond to this issue directly so that we all could see if Microsoft actually intends to fix the problem -which has gone on since May of this year- or if they intend to abandon it altogether. At least one way or the other, we'll have an answer with which to act accordingly.
That's only currently work around at the moment, sadly.
hey guys, I bought a SB2 a week ago and i'm having this issue, i'm on 1903. I bought this as a work laptop and it's driving me nuts. Over 2K€ for a machine with software issues out of the box ...
I dont know how to install the 1809 version so are there any updates on this ? (apart from the nvidia control panel fix)
thanks
