Surface Book 2 GPU Driver disappears randomly after May 2019 update

Hi, just recently installed the Windows 10 May update on my Surface Book 2. Now the GPU disappears randomly while in use. The only solution is to reboot the Surface Book 2, or go into the device manager and initiate a scan for the GPU to come back again. It has Nvidia Gforce GTX 1050 version 23.21.13.9140

Are there any plans for Microsoft to release an updated driver to fix this bug?

There are some updates that were pushed to PRODUCTION today https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4055398/surface-book-2-update-history You do NOT need to join Insiders to get these.

October 2019 updates

The following updates are available for all Surface Book 2 devices running Windows 10 April 2018 Update, version 1803 or greater:

    Yeah, I know what you mean.

    I have the surface pro 2017 version and it is awesome, could work 3D, could work 2D art, etc but really needed a little more horse power on the graphics card for making games and real time 3d.

    The way they are handling the issue left much to be desire but for real if you roll back to the original state with the restore image, the system works really good. I got back the performance for the graphic card and the disconection issue is no more.

    So my best advice is to make the roll back to be able to use the device confortably.  About how Microsoft is handling the issue puts me in a position not to really buy any new product after much more consideration and see if there is really any issue with that before buying.

    They didn't have this issue with the Surface Book 1, or as prevalent as when they released 19xx.

    As such, it's not your fault; the hardware was "okay".

    As for is Microsoft as bad as Apple, well, in this case, I would say they are worse. Microsoft has outright ignored us and pushed this incident under the rug.

    I've tweeted @Windows, @Microsoft and @Panos_Panay and they have ignored me. It's been SIX months and nothing. All I can suggest is to keep mass tweeting at them as often as you can.

    Someone earlier said that they spoke to a technician who said there would be a fix in a few weeks, but it's been a month since they posted most likely. As of 11:46 am GMT there are still no updates.

    Microsoft screwed over high-end users in one fell swoop and have told us we don't matter.

    This situation is absolutely atrocious.

    I, however, only have myself to blame.  For years I have vowed never to 'buy into' the whole, shiny, over priced, self gratifying world of apple, but when the Surface book (2) came out I eagerly jumped in, and now here we are.

    I never, in a million years, thought microsoft would (or even, could) stoop to the depths of apple, but I stand corrected, they have taken my money and f#*ked my expensive hardware up beyond usability!

    How much more 'apple' can you get!

    Thank you microsoft for re-opening my eyes.

    ("NEVER buy apple or microsoft" repeat)
