This seems to have worked for me...for now. But I'm still waiting for Microsoft to comment. Why put us through this nonsense??
New Surface Pro 7 shutting down randomly
I'm tired of all these issues now. At first, a few days ago, I was working on this laptop and it shut down randomly. I switched it on, but again it shut down randomly. In 20 minutes, this happened thrice. I tried something, and then it worked fine for a day. Then today again, it is happening. The diagnostic kit says there's nothing wrong. Please help.

2020-04-14T22:35:29+00:00 - Windows 10 18363.778
- Approx 1-2 months ago
- No change to the device ( This is a Surface Pro 5th Generation)
- Surface Dock
- Suddenly, when running in batteries, without any further notification, the Surface power off and, even though the battery is not drained ( even with 30% of battery level), the only way to power on is using the original outlet power,
- No specific task doing when it powers off but it never is before one hour of operation
- I am always connected, so I can´t tell you if it will happen when I am not.
- Only on battery
- The shut down happens, but it own and, as told before, there is no way to power on with the Dock. Only with the original outlet
- power

2020-04-14T04:07:02+00:00 On the very first day I bought pro 7, it started to shut down randomly. so I contacted the supplier and switched for a new one. However, on the very first day my new pro 7 arrived which was yesterday, the same trouble occurred. It suddenly becomes glaring and then goes black. I really hope Microsoft could work out this problem.

available. See
https://answers.microsoft.com/message/2488483a-efa2-4237-8605-423c0ddacc4c?threadId=070429f1-ad5e-48eb-acaa-6daca59739b0
However, here is a temporary work around from another customer that seems to
resolve the issue for many others:"
I've fixed it on my SP7 i5/8G/256G by installing the Intel Graphics CommandCenter from the Microsoft Store, opening it, going to System>Power>Panel SelfRefresh and turning it off for both "On Battery" and "Plugged In"." -

2020-04-08T01:53:13+00:00 I bought my surface pro 7 a few weeks ago. I am sooo frustrated. I can't let it sit idle for more than a minute and it shuts down. It doesn't matter if it's plugged in or not! HELP!! I bought it from Best Buy, and I live over 1 1/2 hours away from the closest one, and i threw the box away.... and with the covid 19, i can't be without a computer!
