Word Ipad scrolls back to where cursor is, and also some keystrokes are being missed

Recently Word on Ipad is having some issues:

  1. It scrolls back to where cursor is, which makes it very unusable. Basically I cannot use it at all for my writing.
  2. Some keystrokes get missed.

I have already done these trouble shootings: updated my Ipad (maybe this was the cause of the problem because I didn't notice this issue until then), updated to latest Word, uninstalled and reinstalled word, offloaded word app from Ipad storage and reinstalled it, hard restarted my device. I use this app frequently so am very familiar with it. Also, I tried testing other writing tools such as OneNote and Ipad Notes app, but have not had this same issue.

System Info:

Ipad Pro 11inch 3rd Generation, Ipad OS 18.4, Word version 2.95.3.

    I have another ipad with an older version of IOS, and this problem with WORD does not appear. Whatever version came out three months ago is the culprit, since I never had this issue before.

    Doesn’t surprise me a bit that Microsoft doesn’t feel compelled to tackle this problem, since the audience for this product must be miniscule compared to the rest of their customer base.

    Yeah, I found that too, it’s really ridiculous and it didn’t used to do this. Does anyone have any idea what the hell is going on? It appears to be a bug that doesn’t affect everyone.

    I spoke too soon—problem with scrolling returning to the last position of the cursor returned!!! Makes the program absolutely useless as a way to read through a long document.

    This solution did the trick—though I did not turn CoPilot back on. I was being driven crazy by being unable to Scroll without it returning to the last position of my cursor. At least for the moment, things seem to be back where they were a few months ago. Keeping fingers crossed.
