Valid Office 365 subscription shown as expired

I have a Microsoft 365 Family Classic account using ******@outlook.com. This is active, is working fine, and is next due for subscription in 2026

I have previously invited family member ******@outlook.com to a subscription under the family account. This has worked fine for years, but this morning showed as subscription expired.

When I log into ******@outlook.com, the account tab shows “Your Microsoft 365 Family subscription has expired”. It then offers me opportunities to renew this – either with a Family subscription or with an individual personal subscription.

If I try to re-invite ******@outlook.com to my current family subscription, it wont allow me to, telling me that I am already invited. I cannot find a way to de-invite Member so that I can then resubscribe.

In summary, I have an invited subscriber to an active and valid Microsoft 365 which is showing as expired, and I cannot resolve this. Any ideas?

Edit: there is a service update from MS here: https://portal.office.com/servicestatus

I have a similar issue here, I have family subscription for my work. My office ( main account ) works fine but the accounts that were added to family subscriptions by me they get a notification that their subscription is expired, and they cant use office apps at all.

I have the same problem. Main user is fine but the shared users are not and showing as expired.

Microsoft are putting up their renewal costs and hope they compensate users for what I can see is a system error.

I have been on a web chat and waiting for hours to get to the front of the queue.

    Not acceptable!!!!!!!!!

Having exactly the same issue here in Germany with my Microsoft 365 Family subscription. Two family members can't work with locally installed MS Office apps due to incorrect license errors. One says "license expired" the other "license cancelled".
