Yes, working here.
Hi Jim
I contacted Microsoft support yesterday, maybe it was the wrong team, but the tech refused to even acknowledge that it might be a microsoft issue.
All he did was keep going through my PC to work out an issue, 2 hours of wasted time, it told him over and over again i had the same issue on 2 other laptops along with my PC and that it was not my issue, it is microsoft's. Refused to even consider that. He said that he would elevate it to a level 2 problem and would i be available for a call on the 25th May, in 9 days. At that point i got frustrated and ended the chat.
This was who it was below, was not very happy with the service, he just would not listen.

Hello Chris,
Welcome to Microsoft Community Forum.
As per your description, Microsoft has not officially recognized any issues with Excel stock data updates as of now. Our systems are functioning normally, and no service disruptions have been reported. However, you can try these troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue:
First, ensure you have a stable internet connection and that you are signed in with the correct Microsoft account. Next, verify that your Office apps are up-to-date. In Excel for Mac, click Help in the menu bar, then select Check for Updates. Installing the latest updates can often resolve temporary data synchronization issues. For more details, refer to our official guide on updating Office for Mac.
Then, try manually refreshing your stock data by selecting the relevant cells or the entire worksheet and clicking Data > Refresh All. If the issue continues, sign out of Excel and sign back in to re-establish your connection with our services. Additionally, check our Microsoft 365 Service Health Status page to see if there is a known service disruption affecting stock data.
Hope this information will help in resolving the issue.
