Microsoft excel stock data not updating today, May 16th, is this a know issue?

Yes - it's the datasource provider Refinitiv not a problem with Excel per se.... Eg. If the tables that we are connecting to to refresh the stock prices don't have the current price then they are not going to update for us in Excel.

If you get share price information on the Australian stocks that are not updating in Excel from www.bing.com (Microsoft's search engine which also uses Refinitiv as a datasource) you'll see it's also stuck on the 15th of May.

I have the same problem. My portfolio has a mix of Australian, US and French stocks along with FX. It is only the Australian stocks that are not getting updated with the last update as at close of trade Thursday.

I have this problem on 2 spreadsheets attached to one Microsoft subscription, and a third spreadsheet which is on my work account.

I did raise a fault with Microsoft this morning.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that May 16th is a Jewish holiday in Australia?
