Excessive price increase

This email came from you today....."Starting on 14/05/2025, the price for your Microsoft 365 Family subscription will change from AUD 139.00/year to AUD 179.00/year. "
This is totally excessive and wholly unjustified. I am completely uninterested in using your copilot system. All I want is the Word Excel and PowerPoint on my Mac.

I've seen some responses that suggest I can cancel and subscribe to MS 365 classic for cheaper.. But this not available in Australia. Are we Guinea pigs here to see how much you can gouge out of ordinary people. Shame on you and your ethics.

I think this move by you signals my final association with Microsoft and its products after nearly 40 years.

    and I just found this little gem buried in a footnote for those of us with Family Subscription ...

    What?? I pay AU$40/year more for only one person (me) is able to use the wonders of AI. Seriously?

    I switched my plan back to Family Classic by following the "Cancel Subscription" and you get the option to downgrade to Classic. I also had the option to get "two free months to make your decision" which I contemplated, but the risk of me forgetting to then downgrade and MS charging me for AI I don't want I just downgraded.

    I also received an email from Microsoft stating as of February 14, 2025 my Microsoft 365 Personal subscription will increase from $79 CDN to $115 CDN. What is their justification for a 45% increase? Very frustrating!! I will need to look for a alternative…

    I am in Australia and got the $139 - $179 increase. I just want to confirm that the $139 non-AI option is available in Australia - you just need to cancel your current subscription first (as outlined earlier in this thread).

    A single year 29% increase is unjustifiable. Poor form Microsoft (and let's not start on how hard it is to actually send this feedback to anyone at MS...)

    I have the same problem! We are not interested in AL stuff, needing excel and Word. Why pay for what you don't use and need.

    Almost 46% increase can't be justified.
