Today, I turned on Onenote, and it notified me that it had Copilot update.
Now, every time I click in Onenote, it shows this annoying Copilot icon next to cursor:
How do I remove it?

Hello. Likewise, I am having that issue as of today. Furthermore, my in-line indentation tool is missing, which was a tool I used frequently for formatting in-page without having to reach above.
Did you ever find a solution to this? The inability to move/indent with the mouse is maddening.
I agree with everybody that this copilot icon in OneNote is really annoying. It pops up every time you begin writing a new line, even after uninstalling Copilot and turning off all the so-called "experiences" in Excel's privacy settings (the privacy settings are absent from OneNote's options).
I agree the copilot live help is disturbing. Made it my lift mission to solve.
The workaround right now is to use
Alt + Shift + _ for collapse indent
Alt + Shift + + for expand (the plus on calculator keys don't work but the one left to backspace)- Mouse click also expands.

This is the latest **** from Microsoft that has finally made me cancel my subscription to Office.
It is absolutely unacceptable that this is being forced on users without an easy option to opt out of it.
It doesn't even sound legal.
Unfortunately, my wife must have Word for the docx format and she has no desire to learn any other email program than Outlook - so I'm digging out an old Office 2010 disk and sticking it on her computer.
It will work, just won't get updates.
But will anyone tell me how differently they are creating documents (or using any part of Office) than they were in the year 1995?

I followed those steps, uninstalled copilot from my computer. The copilot icon is still there next to the cursor/when starting a new line.
