Hi,

I've been working with hundreds of presentations using YouTube videos and had no trouble with ads till now (8/5/24).

I have a Premium YouTube account and have spoken with tech support at YouTube and Microsoft. The problem remains unresolved.

Help!

    Hi,

    Good idea!

Let's see if that helps. Though I'm thinking this is more of an issue with YouTube.

I wonder if anyone else has contacted YouTube. I've had two long conversations with techs at YT and it seems that this new ad policy is intentional.

by the way, I have 5 different accounts i'm speaking for so i'll be asking this question from all 5.

    A) Please don't.

    B) Please see my recent reply for an explanation of why this is not useful but IS annoying.

Not really ... The PowerPoint developers and program managers don't pay much attention to questions here on Answers. For any of them that do, cluttering the place with multiple posts rather than consolidating our observations into a single thread makes it harder for anyone interested to follow the issue.

If everything's neatly wrapped up in a single (though long) discussion thread, the URL of the thread can be passed up the line to the developers. And I *will* pass them the URL of the main thread here.

If you want individually to get their attention, use File | Send Feedback in PowerPoint to report the problem. Those messages DO go directly to the developers, and there it DOES make more of an impression when there are lots of them.

Everyone here needs to go and start their own question to Microsoft about this. Replying here is not going to show them how many people are having this issue. The more questions made, the more pop up when someone else searches for it, the more likely Microsoft will take notice. They are just going to push us all to use Google Slides, and if I'm using slides, I'm just going to use their whole office suit.
