Teams Chat - copy/paste

When in Chats in Teams we used to copy conversations and paste them into other docs. This brought across name/date and chat text.

Now when we do this it only brings across the text; name/date are missing. This causes issues for us as we cannot keep accurate records.

Has this facility been changed/withdrawn in an update? Is there a workaround?

    Or, as any product company would easily guess, provide a setting to choose from. With a default set on what is perceived to be the most common use for the feature, maybe, which I STRONGLY doubt is to strip out arbitrary information from a copy text operation.

    I agree. Ultimately, why does it have to be so cut and dry. How about an OPTION? Check boxes are wonderful. It solves the problem to just give people the choice. Why take out a feature instead of just allowing a choice?

    Same Problem here. I need to have this data for auditing purposes. It is a lot of work to copy individual messages. I need this action to be instant. Before it was near perfect.

    Most apps where I can select and copy text do behave better. Why remove something that is standard nearly everywhere?

    Please add a setting that allows us to choose whether or not to copy the meta data. There are a lot of times it's needed for documentation.

    Come ON Microsoft, can you honestly keep ignoring this question WHEN Is this going to be resolved. Trying to capture time and date stamps on Information that is subject to FOI request, accurate records need to be captured, we are unable to do this..... Seriously when is this going to be resolved??
    Will it take a legal precedent to get some action...
