In Excel, how do I remove the Quick Access pane in the File Save interface?

The quick access pane is providing links that I do not have write access to and never save to, and I need the 'Browse' folder option at the bottom, which I now have to use the scroll bar in order to select. This is adding extra steps and reducing efficiency, so I would like to remove the Quick Access pane.

MICROSOFT please fix this, it's so annoying seeing a list of numerous options I have no desire to use for saving my work!! I've tried work arounds and nothing is removing this annoying list.

Did this fix the issue for you? It's not working for me and I also wish to remove these.

First, we had Teams with the dark theme that has white lines, and it’s about to drive us crazy out of nowhere! Then we have this wonderful change with the multiple save locations, which I don’t know where they came from or why.

Who knows what other pointless change we should expect next?

    Above sadly didn't work.

Selected "Save to Computer by Default"

Deselected "Show additional places for saving even if sign-in may be required.

Deselected "AutoSave files stored in the Cloud by default in Excel" also didn't work.
