Why is there a price increase in Office 365 annual subscription? Am I getting some new stuff? I'm in Malaysia.

My earlier price was below MYR300, but now it's above. :(

Do you know that I found the price increase notification email in my junk folder?

Do you think it’s a mistake that Microsoft’s system flagged its own email as junk, or could it be intentional?

Either way, it’s amusing—either it’s a blunder or a subtle way for Microsoft to announce price hikes.

Yes, agreed. Looks like they are trying to make or meet their sales numbers. There are a couple of options.

    1. Harvey Norman is doing a sale at RM 280.

00 for MS 365 Personal. Check them out.

    1. Find out if your hardware / software reseller might have legal product keys available at the much older prices, I noticed this on Shopee Lazada.
    2. Black Friday sale is on. Check it out.
    3. Finally, get some other platform that treasures and values you as a customer.

For cloud storage there is a great option from G, 2TB at RM30 per month.

Also check out other suites that might offer you the capabilities you need.

    Best.

I am starting to consider another storage provider - 2TB for $12.50 AUD and then switch to open office.

I have absolutely no interest in copilot, so I do not see that as a means to charge me (even partly) for these office products.

It's an increase well past inflation, Its really quite a questionable move IMO.

Now let's see what happens to this post.

I am in Malaysia too, my price for Family Subscription went from RM179.46 to RM409.00 per annum (It is a 128% rise!) and our MYR is strengthening against the USD this year, why is the hefty increase??

    Hi,

Based on my findings, we can contact Microsoft Support to keep our "Classic" version without Copilot, etc if we prefer. Please reach out to Microsoft Support for assistance.
