I have a document I share using Excel online via onedrive. I update it in on the desktop app and people access it via a link, and view it on the Web version.
Up until yesterday, a viewer would be able to click a cells with a hyperlink to another sheet in the workbook, and it would automatically take them there. Today, every single cell with a hyperlink requests the viewer to 'ctrl and click' to follow the hyperlink.
I have gone though every single option on my desktop Excel app to try and turn off this 'ctrl and click' functuon but I genuinely cannot find anything relevant or that has worked. I have the latest version of Excel for Mac and I haven't changed any settings.
Please, how do I make hyperlinks work automatically again? Thank you!!

I found that hovering over the link pops up the link. Click it and the tab opens as the active tab.
I Found a work around, select Cell / right click mouse / link options /open link
The Web version of Excel has used the same short cut for two different functions.
#1 Ctrl+Enter Fill the selected range with current entry
#2 Ctrl+Enter Follow the link
Short cut 2 is the reason we are having the problem, it's a recent change to Excel Web version. (April 24)
I've tried contacting Microsoft via the various help methods without success.
The latest response reads: Thanks for contacting Microsoft technical support about your issue. I'm glad we were able to help . I will temporarily close the case for the meantime, and you can always call us back for further assistance and we can always re-open the case for you.
The truth is, they did not help and only kept the case open this long because I insisted, now they want to close it because it makes someones stats look bad.
I opened excel spreadsheets in the App format rather than opening the excel spreadsheet in a browser and the App format of excel solved these issues. I hope this solves the issues for others.
Having the same issue which started last week and so is one other in my office at the moment, such an annoying problem to have and we could really use a fix.
