I have a document I share using Excel online via onedrive. I update it in on the desktop app and people access it via a link, and view it on the Web version.
Up until yesterday, a viewer would be able to click a cells with a hyperlink to another sheet in the workbook, and it would automatically take them there. Today, every single cell with a hyperlink requests the viewer to 'ctrl and click' to follow the hyperlink.
I have gone though every single option on my desktop Excel app to try and turn off this 'ctrl and click' functuon but I genuinely cannot find anything relevant or that has worked. I have the latest version of Excel for Mac and I haven't changed any settings.
Please, how do I make hyperlinks work automatically again? Thank you!!

I found that hovering over the link pops up the link. Click it and the tab opens as the active tab.
I Found a work around, select Cell / right click mouse / link options /open link

You only get 10 days to roll back some updates, can't say for sure that's where the problem came from but it was one of the things I considered doing but I was too late.
Can someone at Microsoft please explain to me the logic of changing the default setting of something like this? I can't find anywhere to change this back, and these instructions don't work.
It is really frustrating that Microsoft pushes out updates like this, and now I have to waste hours of time this morning going to every shared excel to figure out how to change it back.
