Access randomly crashing when I try to filter

Having this issue for the past few days.
Every once in a while, when I try to filter a field, access will crash. It doesn't matter how big the table I'm trying to filter is.

Sometimes it crashes when I'm not even touching it. It's just open in the background when I'm working on something else.
More rare though. So not sure if it's even related.

Any ideas?

    What we need is a scenario that reliably and repeatedly raises the error. Circumstances and steps involved, etc.

    I have rolled back most of our machines to version 2406 but have left one machine on 2407 so I can repeatably reproduce the problem for update testing. I can provide specific OS/Office version information, crash reports and whatever else might help understand/reproduce the problem. Two caveats:

    Our DB is hosted on a SQL server and Access talks it through ODBC connectors. I can’t provide the SQL server data, hence, while I can share the Access file, its unlikely that I can provide enough for others to reproduce the problem.

    I’m not a windows debugger. You will have to direct me as to what specific information, reports or log files you need.

    I have emailed George at the address provided below to take this converstion out of the forum. I appreciate your help on this and am fully available at any time to talk or Zoom/Screen Share with anybody to  demonstrate the issue or help identify what is wrong.

    Is there any other contact I should also go through?

    Give me a day andI'll see what I can do. It was resolved on our desktops inly because our IT department agreed to roll back the update to the previous update. However, they won't do it on the virtual desktop.

    Hi Judy,

    It depends somewhat on the factors that play a role in this problem.

    Maybe a video that you upload somewhere might help if it shows relevant details.

    Another would be a step-by-step guide with the technical details such as Office and Windows version+build and possibly a Windows crash report.

    Ideally, there would be a small reliably crashing example file. Of course, this only works if special requirements within the database play a role and the environment is not solely responsible for the crashes.
