OneDrive: Shared folders are only available via internet shortcut

I am having problems with shared folders in OneDrive. They are showing up as internet shortcuts only, I used to have them in File Explorer as a folder that I would click on to access content of that shared folder. My IT person found a website stating that Microsoft is aware of this issue. When will this be fixed?

I can confirm that this issue is now resolved at 6 of the 7 sites that have been affected.

The URL shortcut has been replaced with a folder that once again allows for browsing and accessing files from "Shared" folders within Windows Explorer.

We have been experiencing an issue with shared folders only appearing as internet shortcuts in File Explorer since 6-17. When can we expect a resolution for this issue? Is this issue only with personal/ family accounts and not business accounts?

Has a fix been issued for this yet? Is it machine specific? Or account specific?

    Hello, Reception Skyway Park

Thanks for raising your concerns in Microsoft Community.

We are aware of the issue and are working on resolving it. The url files will automatically convert back to folders when the issue is resolved. For now, we recommend accessing shared folders that are in this state on OneDrive.com.
