Why I have 2 Onedrives in File Explorer?

We understand that there are two OneDrive icons in your Explorer and you need to delete one of them.

According to your description, if you move the file to two other folders, the duplicate file information will be synchronized. This may be because your OneDrive information has been logged in and detected multiple times.

You can first confirm which OneDrive icon you need to delete.

If you want to delete one of the OneDrive folders, it is recommended that you try to delete the redundant OneDrive by modifying the registry:

Win+R open Run, type regedit to open the registry, click File, Export, check all, OK; (to prevent you from operating incorrectly and affecting the operation of other registration information)

1. Locate the computer \HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID, press Win+F to search for OneDrive，

Once you have found the Onedrive entry you don't want to show, select

System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree 

and right-click and select “Modify”.

Change its “Value data” to “0”, click OK, and then close the registry.

Restart File Explorer to see if the problem is solved

I'm using Windows 11. This actually worked when i'm done editing the registry and restart the windows explorer. But once I restart my laptop i see 2 onedrive folders again.

Well, it worked for a little while. However, it then kept saying it had to fix c:/ drive. Upon restarting the computer, and allowing it to fix c, the second One Drive folder was back. Maybe another solution would be in order.

I was having the same issue and this solved it for me. I found two entries with corresponding (Default) values:

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{018D5C66-4533-4307-9B53-224DE2ED1FE6} OneDrive - Personal
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{04271989-C4D2-EEAF-95D1-C278CDA8F148} OneDrive

I did as you told me with the second entry and after a quick Explorer restart the double entry disappeared. Is it safe to delete the whole entry or are there safety reasons behind why we shouldn't do that?

I have tried this solution several times, but after restarting laptop, the 2 personal OneDrive folders are back. Also have noticed that the OneDrive folder is not showing in the C:Drive\User\Username folder, but if I right click each of the OneDrive folders in Windows explorer, both folders show that the location is C:\User\username! I would appreciate your help with this
