I am using a Macbook Air, last week I tried the free trial of the copilot, but since I don't find it helpful, and even my word keeps on lagging, now I want to disable the copilot.
I have already tried to uninstall and reinstall Microsoft 365, and several tips on the internet, but none of them is working. The copilot is still there. and I find it so annoying.
Can someone help me to show me the way to disable the copilot, please?

Go into Word / Excel and all other 365 apps. Go to options, select Copilot and disable - simples
I changed my Microsoft 365 in April, just before the renewal date, and easily changed it to Classic. The price was $69, less than the $99 rate for my prior subscription. CoPilot is nowhere to be seen!

You can disable Copilot in Word , PowerPoint and Excel by going to File > Options > Copilot then unchecking the box next to Enable Copilot and clicking OK. Access, Outlook, OneNote and Publisher do not yet have this option. Try to keep cool. Going crazy is not a strategy. The only way to fix this is to keep the pressure on Microsoft to do so.
I just turned off Copilot by clicking on my account email in outlook and clicking through to get to privacy settings. you can choose to turn off products that analyze content. I had to scroll down to find. It does not say Copilot but that is what Copilot does.
it took it off my outlook Yeah ! Microsoft doing for AI points **** that no one needs if you went to school and learned how to write. Just another way to collect data that you will have to pay for in the future.

What you probably mean, Lynda, is turning off Experiences that analyze your content (there is no Privacy setting for “products that analyze content”). However, turning off this setting (as well as turning off All connected experiences) does not disable Copilot on any Office app. If it “took it off” your Outlook that is because you are probably running the outdated Classic Outlook. The New Outlook has Copilot all over the place and there is no way of “turning it off” (see here). Hope this helps.
I cancelled my MS 365 family subscription today. My privacy expectations are clear. I have ALL connected experiences and all experiences that analyze my data turned off. The latest MS office updates do not come with the ability to turn off CoPilot (even Word). Yet, CoPilot is still on.
And to add to it, when I go to account.microsoft.com Privacy > Empower your productivity Microsoft is STILL recording all my activity even when I have clearly turned off all connected experiences and all experiences that analyze my data. So today I cancelled my subscription. I have also turned off my MS 365 for business subscription. The instructions for those apps don't work either. OpenOffice isn't perfect, but it's better than having these "experiences" being shoved down my throat.
