Why does the "Restart Office to apply privacy settings" not go away even after i have closed all office products, restarted them i have even restarted PC and still every time i open an office priduct i have this same issue?

Restarted multiple times in different applications, rebooted PC still same error

Microsoft 365 and Office | Subscription, account, billing | Other | Other

    I tried rolling back. Same issue. I then rolled forward again to the insider version. Same issue.
    I completely de-installed and re-installed...same issue.

    I have this issue on 3 different machines, one production version, one preview version and one beta.
    ALL have the issue.

    Back to you Microsoft. The ball is in your court.

    This simply did not work for me. Two days and ten hours in without a fix. Something is rotten in Redmond.

    Okay...I restarted my PC just now, and the stupid "restart to apply privacy settings" or whatever it is message is back.

    C'mon, Microsoft...get your sh*t together on this!!!

    MS 365 is not the only office suite in town, and others are much, much less expensive.

    Same issue here - This annoying privacy setting message has returned! And to my amazement it has returned after an update to Windows!

    So, once again I did the rollback using Tracy's advice earlier in this thread, and this message disappeared again. But are we going to repeat this process each time the computer restarts or installs any sort of update?...
