Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

I follow your example and ask for a refund. But posting this intention on this forum has no sense, since Microsoft is the big absent. Let's open an incident on our account on Microsoft.com. Even if I imagine they are going to close it without any action, as always

    What a big mess!

Why didn't you migrate the families already in OneDrive all at once? Instead of randomly migrating people.

They could just migrate "family" by family and bingo, no problem.

Ok, they didn't know this could happen... now that they know, why don't they migrate the family of those who are being affected all at once?

It seems that now they are migrating people in larger volumes, several friends started talking about the same problem.

All Microsoft says is: "Wait until it resolves itself"

We're currently attempting to map our shared folders as network drives, though we don't necessarily anticipate great results as we're using OneDrive to collaborate on music. We don't know how well this will handle our needs given that the DAW is a non-Microsoft product that's used to manage huge project files.

I am absolutely infuriated by Microsoft. They have f*cked us and f*cked us and f*cked us again, and they continue to come back for more before we even have a chance to clean ourselves up. Microsoft's treatment of their customers is absolutely undignified. It is beyond my comprehension how an issue this impactful and far-reaching could still be unresolved nearly a year later by one of the largest tech companies in the world. In addition to the problem at hand, which has completely halted our workflow, Microsoft surreptitiously changed our years-old subscription to Microsoft Family 365 to the next higher tier to try and extract more money from us without our consent earlier this year. They would have gotten away with it if I weren't so vigilant, but I shouldn't have to be vigilant against a company manipulating my subscription to take more money from me.
