Folders Shared with me are syncing as internet shortcut in OneDrive on Windows PC

Hi. I had some folders shared from different users in my OneDrive account. I had added the folders to my OneDrive with Add Shortcut to OneDrive button from Shared folders in cloud. The account is logged into a windows pc and every files including the folders shared with my were syncing fine until yesterday. Yesterday night the shared folders were completely removed from the Windows pc and folders are replaced with internet shortcut. This is such a big mess. I have tried unlinking the account and linking it back, changing the location of OneDrive on my windows pc and tried to get a new folder shared to my account and adding it to OneDrive. Nothing works so far. OneDrive has a big part in my daily activities. Please help me resolve this.

Here is the statement from the Microsoft OneDrive product group (Redmond USA) about the OneDrive Personal problem:

***This is related to a backend migration we are doing and unfortunately, we don’t fully support syncing shared folders in the case where one user has migrated and the other has not. We’re doing everything possible to accelerate things so that it can be resolved as soon as possible for users of the feature. When the accounts are migrated, there is automated logic that makes them go back to a syncing folder within several days.***I have heard, that shared Folder issue is gone.
The best thing is: WAIT and do nothing

    Today I realize additional problems with shared folders.

    Two former sharing of folders from User A to user B are not any more visible for user B. Even in his oneline view they are not any more in "Eigene Dateien".
    But for user A they are still shared!

    It seems that Microsoft has severe problems with sharing rights !!!!!!!
    Lets hope that the data are safe.

    Everything that comes from the US in these days is really weird ;-)

    Hi everyone

    I have a question, if "new" accounts are that ones with "NO SEARCH OPTION", and "old" accounts are that ones with "SEARCH OPTIONS", why when you create a new account they have "SEARCH OPTION"?

    We have the problem that all our information is in one "old" account (search ON), and many other have been update to the new version (search OFF). We are creating new accounts and they have SEARCH ON, but then, are created with old version?

    It has no sense..

    Has this been fixed yet? Can you please get your developers to fix this? Its been 8 months now. Please fix the issue, i cant access files on my pc anymore and need to do all adminstration of files that are in the shared folder of me and my wife via the web ui now, which sucks.

    macOS 15.3.1 desktop OneDrive, shared folder became a url suddenly and it did not help to reset OneDrive nor to end sharing and create a new link in the web interface. Very troubling since I am continually working with the materials in various shared folders. If it persists will need to look for an alternate cloud solution.
