Microsoft 365 Calendar Won't Sync with iPhone or Webmail

Microsoft reported on February 29th that the connection issue for MS 365 using Exchange ActiveSync had been resolved.

I then changed my settings to allow for updates as I too had lost my Exchange connection. The update installed was 2402 (Build 17328.20162).

The update however, has now created an issue with the MS 365 calendar not syncing with my iPhone and Webmail. This only occurs when I'm using the MS 365 calendar on my laptop to add or change an event. The entry or change does not show up on my iPhone or webmail. However, when I use my iPhone calendar or Webmail calendar to create an event or change an event, it does show up in the MS 365 calendar on my laptop? Go figure.

I have deleted and set up my account on my iPhone. I have uninstalled MS 365 and reinstalled from my MS Account. The version reinstalled is 2401 (Build 17231.20236). No change.

I use Shaw/Rogers as my email provider.

Please help.

Thanks

Barry

    Thank you for your email.

I've trying to get this issue resolved since February of last year. So frustrating to say the least.

I see you have a business subscription with MS. I know that the Business side of MS handle Exchange for Outlook. I would suggest that you have a telephone call with them to see what they will do. They seem to be more receptive if you have a business subscription. If I have your email address I can forward further information to you regarding my communication with the business side of MS and which version I believe the issue began. They actually recognized there was an issue, built a business case and were to review with the back end folks. However, when they realized I had a personal subscription, the issue was dropped.

Can you please let me know how you make out.

    Good luck.

I will need to check with support - but yes, it sounds like there is a bug in the process.

    Good morning Diane,

Thank you very much for the screen shots, etc. I reinstalled 16.0.17126.20132 and everything seems to be working fine. Also disabled any further updates.

I want to further explain the issue I was having after I installed the updated version which advised (02/29) that a fix was in place.

The Exchange ActiveSync connection worked, however, my MS 365 calendar on my laptop was not syncing with my iPhone and Webmail. This only occurs when was using the MS 365 calendar on my laptop to add or change an event. The entry or change does not show up on my iPhone or webmail. However, when I use my iPhone calendar or Webmail calendar to create an event or change an event, it does show up in the MS 365 calendar on my laptop?

After installing 16.0.17126.20132, I'm able to make an entry using my MS 365 calendar on my laptop and it shows up on my iPhone. So that's great, however, it tells me that the new versions still have a bug.

    Please check and advise.

    Thanks

Hi, I'm Diane and I'm happy to help you today.

I use Shaw/Rogers as my email provider.

Added to classic Outlook as an Exchange Active Sync account, correct?

The bug was fixed in fixed in Outlook Desktop Version 2402 Build 17328.20068 and higher. You have higher version, so it should be working.

If you follow the instructions in this article to revert to the older build, does two-way syn c work again? https://support.microsoft.com/office/outlook-desktop-exchange-activesync-connections-stopped-working-in-version-2401-da2dc0dd-297e-48ba-b6d9-ab18f5d522fc

Let me know how it goes, I'm here to help you further if needed.
