Force sync in OneDrive

Is there any way of forcing OneDrive to sync? Let's say a user uploads a document on one client, and user 2 wants to access that document immediately on his client, but onedrive haven't synced that folder yet.

Is there a way to force a manual sync? Ideally with like a .bat file or something that i can pin to the taskbar that the user can just click to run just to speed up the process

    I have the same question. User1 updates the file and wants it available for User2 as soon as possible. If User 1 updates a file, power off the PC before the Sync is completed and goes on vacation. I think User2 will not see the update until User1 powers on again. I always wonder how long should User1 keep his PC running before powering off. I don't remember seeing any message saying "Onedrive SYnc is in progress, do not power off"

    Though I'm not happy to know that you're having issues with Office365/OneDrive, it is good to know that I'm not alone in the boat. Given a choice, I'd dump everything in iCloud, but the employer doesn't allow that...

    Following this as I also have Apple products (phone, iPad, and MBP) which all experience a long lag time/spinning signal whether typing, adding imported data, creating a new notebook/section/page, moving the same things, etc.I have tried various “fixes” suggested and none have worked.

    Folks, I appreciate the responses to this post, but none of them address the problem when you're on an MBP running OS and having to interface via MS Office to get to One Drive. I use two MBPs, a personal and a work-supplied, and my organization's IT department has had. no luck getting the office computer to synch with One Drive in a regular or timely fashion. I've tried signing out and then back in, and that's about as helpful as a screen shot to a blind man.

    So if anyone has had the problem with a MacBookPro, I'd be interested to hear how you resolved it.
