Why do I keep getting these messages in my email:
We received your request for a single-use code to use with your Microsoft account.
Your single-use code is: 123456 [I changed this]
If you didn't request this code, you can safely ignore this email. Someone else might have typed your email address by mistake.

It's getting ridiculous. It started a week or two ago, and I am now receiving many of these emails every day. Someone at Microsoft should look into this; it's obviously not just a one-off problem.
I just checked my Recent Activity page, and see 18 unsuccessful sign-ins and one unsuccessful sync, coming from countries throughout the world.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Many users have reported this issue. Microsoft advices users to ignore the single use codes if you did not request it. If you are worried that someone else might be trying to access your account, go to the Recent activity page; https://account.live.com/Activity

This is a daily thing for me sometimes multiple times a day very annoying. Russia, China, Brazil, US, and many other countries. Google needs to implement a block feature to block countries trying to access our email. I know they have the tech to see where our current location is vs where these sign on attempts are coming from give us access to block all countries/cities/IPS from activities page...
Thanks - was able to verify no attempts at account access. Is still something I think Microsoft needs to look at as is disconcerting at best. Have updated my security at same time. Thanks for the quick response.
