"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."

Each time I press the READ ALOUD button, it gives me this error message:

"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."

But I am signed into my MS account.

It appears that my credentials cannot be verified. When this happens, MS Word defaults to the 3 built-in voices.

Any ideas?

Hi guys -

Looks like it's now been fixed (11:30am (UK) time).

Restart your computers.

    yep! have done the same!

    Thank you Suzanne!

I am a little surprised it's been two days since the crash of the good read aloud and we've heard nothing from Microsoft officially yet?

Anyone got any feedback from reporting it? I assume it should come through to our emails?

Same problem for me. Text to Speech in Dutch worked fine up to July 10. A day later only an American voice tried to speak Dutch which is not possible to understand. Spent 4 four hours in a on-line chat with Microsoft support and giving them control over my computer. In this session two engineers (level 1 and level 2): 2 x quick repair of office 365, 2 x on-line repair office 365, 2 x deleting all office 365 stuff on my computer, 2 x intensive hacks in the register, 2 x complete new installing Office 365, 8 (or more) x reboot of my computer: the problem remained. Two times I suggested that the problem was on their side or servers, or something with my Microsoft account. They seemed not believing me. After the remote session of 4 hours I stopped the session, because I didn't believe anymore that they could offer any help. This was all about my personal computer and my personal consumer MS account.

However on my work computer, using a business MS account, the Text to Speech function works as expected in Dutch. Although a slight detail: it sounded just a little bit different in quality. My suggestion is that the servers for personal and business account are different.
