Each time I press the READ ALOUD button, it gives me this error message:
"To choose what voice you hear while using Read Aloud, sign in with your Microsoft account."
But I am signed into my MS account.
It appears that my credentials cannot be verified. When this happens, MS Word defaults to the 3 built-in voices.
Any ideas?

Looks like it's now been fixed (11:30am (UK) time).
Restart your computers.
And... here we go again! Exactly the same problem as in July 2023! :(
I woke up today to find a stream of people commenting on this thread, experiencing this same problem. Dreading when I opened the document. Sure enough... back to robotic voices again. Amazing stuff from Microsoft.
Yes! Just checked and my Read Aloud has the female voice back! Microsoft Zira! YAY!
Thanks to everyone for sending feedback to Microsoft! I think we did it!
I had a Microsoft tech confirm on my PC yesterday that nothing you can do on your own can fix this bug and it requires a Microsoft 365 developer update, which we are all waiting on. If there is a fix soon, I will update you.
