Stop the Family Feature Pop Up

Every time I turn on my computer, the "sign in Microsoft Family Features" pops up. I have tried:

  • Removing myself from family group per https://account.microsoft.com/family/home (already listed as an adult there)
  • Checking start up options (doesn't show up)
  • Looking at uninstalling Microsoft Family Features (doesn't show up)
  • Deleting the Microsoft Family Feature folder
  • Telling my firewall not to let it through

Every time I did one of these steps, I turned off and back on my computer, and still each time it persisted. Make it stop!!!

    • Press windows key+r and type taskschd.msc
    • In the left you'll see a directory, expand it and look for Microsoft\Windows\Shell folder in the library
    • Disable the tasks belonging to Family Safety, for me there were two, "FamilySafetyMonitor" and "FamilySafetyRefreshTask".

    Please help me stop this Microsoft Family Feature popup. Both of the above options DO NOT work! When I tried the first one...it still popped up. When I try the 2nd one...it's simply not there. For the love of God...please help...this is driving me crazy!!! I have no idea why it started in the first place.

    Thanks. Worked well on Windows 11, but it takes a little searching to find it. Your paths are correct. Good riddance to pop up box.

    Help with Microsoft Family Features Hi Microsoft Team, I hope you're having a good day! I need some help with the Microsoft Family Features because it’s really bothering me while I’m trying to study. I tried to turn it off like it says in the instructions just like the comment you gave to La Joan and the reply. but it didn’t work. I also can’t find where to change the settings. And for the firewall part I don’t know how to fix that. Can you please tell me how to let the Family Features work? Or maybe give me other ideas!
