Stop dialog popup "Microsoft respects your privacy"

I'm on a Windows 11 PC

Every time I start outlook, word, excel, etc the below dialogs appear. Once I have clicked through all the options the toolbar has this notification under it;

For a start "Restart Office" is not very clear, because there is no office app. So I assume it means close and restart all running office applications. Which I did but the dialogs continue to appear each time I start one of the apps.

I have since tried;

  1. Restarting PC
  2. Office Repair
  3. Office Repair online (it uninstalled office and then couldn't go any further so I had to download and reinstall office)
  4. Reinstall of office

Does anyone know how to fix this so it no longer appears at the start of office 365 apps

    There seem to be a lot of should-be-useful suggestions in this thread, and a lot of supportive assistance.

    But nobody seems to be questioning why so many people are all chasing our tails (here and many, many other threads) when the problem should be being fixed at source.

    Another sloppy piece of MS programming left steaming in the middle of the road.

    Unfortunately the solution didn't work for me and the Privacy notices keep popping up. See my post 8 September.

    I am in exactly the same situation - personal Office 365 and every time I open Excel, Word or Outlook the xxxxxx Privacy message comes up.

    This was happening to me for 3 weeks Everytime I closed out and opened any MS app. I spoke to Microsoft support today, and in addition to signing into your MS 360 account and updating the software (it will override, you do not need to uninstall it first), signing out of my Microsoft account, then completely signing back in worked, as we figured out that I was signed into an old Microsoft account.
