Stop dialog popup "Microsoft respects your privacy"

I'm on a Windows 11 PC

Every time I start outlook, word, excel, etc the below dialogs appear. Once I have clicked through all the options the toolbar has this notification under it;

For a start "Restart Office" is not very clear, because there is no office app. So I assume it means close and restart all running office applications. Which I did but the dialogs continue to appear each time I start one of the apps.

I have since tried;

  1. Restarting PC
  2. Office Repair
  3. Office Repair online (it uninstalled office and then couldn't go any further so I had to download and reinstall office)
  4. Reinstall of office

Does anyone know how to fix this so it no longer appears at the start of office 365 apps

    Hi

    For me it turned out I was signed into office with two accounts. When I went to File > Office Account, the "User Information" section showed there was an issue that needed to be fixed and When I signed out of one of the accounts (it left me signed in as the correct account) I was able to do the privacy policy just one more time, then it stopped appearing.

    Why today did this start happening to me? I didn't make any changes so it must have been a Microsoft 'update'.

    After 3 attempts of changing privacy settings in Excel and restarting, it seems to have worked... except I lost autosave - apparently that is a feature of 'connected experiences' and I switched too many of them off so it was disabled. The description of each setting is vague so it is easy to miss.

    I really wish Microsoft wouldn't try to be so clever and add features that are largely useless yet fail to keep the core product working adequately.

    I also have this, it just started happening today. No solutions I've found online get rid of it.

    I'm not an IT geek so don't try suggesting I mess with registries and other behind-the-scenes software trickery, just tell me how to simply get back to normal.

    Hi

    Dialog box is not too box for the screen, I can see all of it and there is no accept button

    Last step in the dialog is "Done"

    Thanks, that's exactly what happened to me - I opened up Excel this morning and I got the privacy pop-up again. Then I noticed Microsoft had used my personal email address to log in. I don't have a personal 365 account so I don't know how it did that - so much for privacy settings!!!

    I logged out of that email address and it all seems to be back to normal.
