Documents showing in recent when not opened

I have noticed that every time I open file explorer, the recent list shows a random 10 documents which are stored on onedrive that I haven't accessed (on this or any other device). I am the only one with access to the device and the onedrive folder.

    **Solution Found**

    I believed I found a fix, I just restarted my PC to confirm this works but I will have to wait and see if it holds, but here it is:

    1. Click the OneDrive Icon that is in on the right side of the taskbar. (it might be in hidden icons ^ )
    2. Click the Cog at the top right.
    3. Click "Quit OneDrive"

    this will just close down OneDrive on your computer, not log you out.

    Then you can go ahead and restart and it should be fixed, and now to get rid of the long list of recent:

    1. Open File Explorer and go to the Home tab
    2. Click the first document and then scroll down to the last document and shift+left click to select all
    3. Right click and select "Remove from Recent"

    *this may take a second to properly remove all, so give it like 30 seconds and then refresh, should be good*

    Like I said before, I just did this now and it hasn't done the bug again since my full restart, but if it doesn't work I will update this

    This is still happening in Version 23H2 (OS Build 22631.4037)

    with OneDrive ver:Build 24.166.0818.0003 (64-bit)

    File Explorer version:

    File Description: Windows Explorer. File & Product Version: 10.0.22621.4036

    In my case it seems to be the same files all the time.

    Even if I go clear the recent items folder at %APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent[ * | Automatic Destinations\* | Custom Destinations\* ] it still comes back after a bit.

    It is very disconcerting.

    It does seem to be only OneDrive files that are part of MS365 like .doc, docx, xlsx, etc.
