Why can't you sync the account to your desktop? Once it syncs, you can disable the "back up" feature.

In other words: "Once you subscribe and pay us you can recover control over your private data we hijacked without prior notice if you will only jump through all our hoops designed without consideration for your rights or convenience but laser-focused on turning your private data into our saleable product, WE PROMISE (subject to our terms of agreement that we change at our convenience, you dumb cluck)."

Just one more tactic to deny users control over their own data.

It appears to me that Microsoft has engineered obstacles to users who wish to keep their data to their own HDDs into every aspect of MS365 function and messaging. I've at last won through your various logins and security checks and security codes that don't arrive timely to actually delete my data, and I'm offended by the difficulty at every step. Of course it's not criminal intent but MS incompetence behind my experience. Sure. You people seem to have mastered the engineering of plausible deniability and other means to foil any customers who might want to hold you accountable. And I detest the hubris with which you presume to unilaterally change the terms of OUR agreement at will.

You say things like that and they are fundamentally untrue.

I followed every suggestion each time, no matter what I did, onedrive invaded my life and uploaded. If MS is able, and they were, to hack into my computer while I'm sleeping and install Windows 11 which crashed my life, what makes you think that doing this, doing that, will work? It doesn't. Eset can't block them. Insidious.

I've been at this for over two months. I wiped my computer, installed Windows 10 and I'm forced to keep up the fight. I wish I could go back to 98 2nd Edition.

I did that and stopped back ups and paused updates until August 29th.

If I write an entire page of cuss words on Word it uploads. I installed a desktop version of my email, uploaded. I uninstalled it, restart, searched in C, deleted a ton, restart, search C, delete more. The Twilight Zone.

Updates are still being installed most of which cannot be uninstalled.

This is a horror movie without end, without recourse. It is hacking, it is invasion.

I'm a gonna try to override the email deletion.

I am going to get blackballed for this. Here's why;

I must have written something so horrible it got the attention of actual Microsoft employees, got escalated to who knows where, finally to this;

Ken- 469-775-1140. He is supposed to be a MS technical whiz. But, I either dump my life or install office 2019 / 365. I bought Office 2019 in 2020 for $149 as an independent stand alone program. Microsoft has lost the definition of independent, or free will, or, get the **** out of my house/life/computer.

MS already broke into my house and hacked into my computer installing Windows 11 without my permission. I think as soon as I post this, nope before, I'm back, I bought an airgap. It has no wifi, Bluetooth, internet components. It is a computer before the internet.
