I want to sue Microsoft -- OneDrive has hijacked all my local files and there's no way to retreive it!!!!

Microsoft is using deceptive tactics to hold our content hostage. I wasn't given any intimation on how OneDrive would without my permission take hold of my folders and content and not release it back to me unless I took their subscription account to access them. Even though I have paid for a yearly subscription, I still am not able to restore back all my content to my local storage. Though the sum of amount they've received isn't much, the value of my content is too high for me. I do not want them on OneDrive, I want them locally on my computer and for me to access, store, or transfer per my discretion.

When they apply this policy at a systemic level where all Windows users are subjected to it, suddenly the under $20 annual fee obviously becomes a much greater sum. It is something that must be attacked and resented publicly. A class action law suit is necessary when companies begin to act so callously.

FYI, I write this down. So this can be evidence when we sue Microsoft for their diabolical act!

One night I shut down my Windows 10 computer, went to sleep, woke up the next morning and have een living inside a horror movie for the last two months.

Instead of saying Microsoft did an unauthorized install, of, well anything, call it what it is. Breaking and Entering. A Home Invasion. Hacking. All of which are illegal. The big difference in the first two is it had been either one, I would have been within my legal right to shoot to kill. I prefer to think of it that way because it makes me so angry, furious, really so far beyond furious, knowing that Microsoft will come back with a gazillion ways it was my fault.

If a lawsuit is in the Maryland small claims court, there is not a $10,000 ceiling because Maryland is outside Microsoft HQ, WA. If you sue anywhere but the state of Washington, there is not a ceiling. I have been doing my homework. At the moment I'm looking up precedents that might have been set in a suit Microsoft lost. I'm hopeful.l

I deleted OneDrive. I pause updates for 5 weeks and I'm diligent keeping that going. Back-ups are and were turned off. There is only one way possible where they could install 11 without my permission. They broke into my house. Now they're holding me hostage.

A guy from Microsoft Escalation has yet to fix my electronic universe. My printer will not install so even if I used LibreOffice, I can't print a damn thing.

To my parents dismay, anger has always fueled me. In school, it was my crutch. The thought of anyone saying, she's not living up to her potential was something I knew I could never hear. It fuels my creativity and it will fuel my self-righteous law suit. I have convinced myself that I have the grounds for one. I have been wronged. My father was a lawyer. This will be my first lawsuit and sue I will. I cannot accept this.

Wow, it's 2 in the morning and I have an 8 o'clock doctor appointment. My ire was up and so am I. Goodnight.

bs that doesnt work all the files are gone from the folders, over 20 folders on my hijacked files on onedrive are completely empty, nothing in recycle bin. So Microsoft took my files from my personal computer without my permission and replaced them with deceptive links that look like the files are still there which I am certain most people will think is the case but if you look at the pathway of the folder you will see OneDrives sneaky game, the files are no longer on your computer they are just links to folders that may or may not contain anything depending if they are happy with the subscription payment for their safe space, that isnt safe and isnt needed by anyone. Im sure most people are unaware anything is going on until they stop paying them money and they start deleting your files from your folders. Why would anyone want to be associated with such a service or company.

Why can't you sync the account to your desktop? Once it syncs, you can disable the "back up" feature.
