OneNote 365 Not Displaying TABS LAYOUT > VERTICAL TABS Option

Hi Support,

I installed the latest version of Office 365 / Microsoft 365 and while searching online says to go to VIEW > TABS LAYOUT > VERTICAL TABS to make OneNote display the tabs vertical as opposed to horizontal; however, when I click on VIEW, I don't see this option and only see the follow image below.

I tried to go to FILE > OPTIONS > DISPLAY to see if I could customize the RIBBON and don't see this option.

Any advice is very much appreciated.

Dear Sonny,

It seems that you are talking about the feature mentioned in New Layout Options for OneNote on Windows are coming soon (microsoft.com). I'm afraid that the feature hasn't been released to all version number of the OneNote application. I suggest you keep close eyes on the updates of the OneNote application and wait for the feature in your environment.

As a workaround, you can click on the notebook tab>click on Pin Notebook Pane to Side currently.

    Dear Leyna,

    Welcome to the forum here.

    What version number of the OneNote application are you using? Could you upload a full screenshot of the Account page in the OneNote application you are using for our reference? You can access the page via clicking on File>Account.

    Meanwhile, about "Same, super frustrating. I don't even see a navigation panel under View", come screenshots are also appreciated.

    Note: Remove any private information before uploading the screenshots.

    Thank you for the workaround.

    Is there an ETA for this feature?

    In the linked New Layout Options for OneNote on Windows are coming soon (microsoft.com). I noticed some comments that said this feature was showing in V2305 I am running V2306 and I do not see the vertical tabs feature.

    Based on the comments in this thread it sounds like this feature might have been released and then rolled back. Is that correct?

    If you have Office then you should have OneNote (the OneNote you need) and OneNote for Windows 10.

    OneNote you can recognize by having a File menu.
