Device management notification

This suddenly popped out of a device. What does this mean? What should we do?

"mddprov account has removed your workplace account and deleted all of the information associated with your workplace account (including business apps, password requirements, and other policies) from your device."

Have checked the Settings > Accounts and the account is still connected to that same device.

M$ is telling me that it is resolved; however, my users are still getting popups. So, I guess it is now a feature?

Why no explanation of the issue, possible fixes or adjustments?

They were getting the error popping up about every 30 minutes. After I applied what I did, There have been no more notifications. Its been over 5 hours and nothing has popped up. It may not be the fix all but We are playing it by ear right now . If they still get notifications I will post in here.

Same issue across multiple tenants here.

    Hi Tina,

We have not made any changes to the admin portal. The user can still access the apps with the same account.

    Dear Czarine,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

The message means mddprov account has removed your personal device from Azure or Intune. Though you still can see the account connected via Settings > Accounts, next time if you sign out and then sign in, your account may not be connected. You may no longer have access to your Microsoft 365 subscription related resource, for example, cannot sign in Office apps with that account, cannot use the account to log in Windows.

Given this, we sincerely recommend you go to contact your Microsoft 365 administrator and confirm whether they have removed your account from Azure or Intune, check if it's the change they made.

Thanks for your time and cooperation! We hope you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator
