The styling has changed for paragraphs within the text web part in Sharepoint modern pages. All paragraphs in pages that I created prior to the March software update displays with paragraph spacing. All paragraphs in pages that I have created the past week have no paragraph spacing. I know I can just make another line break between each paragraph, but should I do that? I can see that the paragraphs are properly encoded within HTML p tags and no in-line styling.
What I really need to know is whether or not this is seen as a bug, and will be addressed quickly, or is this seen by Microsoft as the new way the rich text editor will work going forward.
Is the Sharepoint modern sites text web part RTE going to act like Notepad forever, or will it go back to the expected behavior described here? If I add extra line breaks because of the messed-up style sheet, and if it then gets fixed, I will have to go back and remove them all. Do I keep working on my intranet project, or wait for this to get fixed?

On July 17, the issue seem to have been fixed! Spaces between paragraphs in articles are back on new posts! Finally!
***UPDATE*** : On January 22, 2024, the problem is back in our tenant! @MelissaBrenneman can you reopen the thread?
Is anyone still seeing this problem?
I have two production tenants, and one developer tenant. On the dev tenant, and one production tenant - paragraphs in the text web part do have spacing.
However, on the other production tenant, there is no spacing between paragraphs.
The difference I can see in the HTML output on the page, is the text web part wrapper <div> (on the two tenants where it works as expected) has an extra CSS class "uniformSpacingForElements".
For some reason, if I create a text web part on the other production tenant (where there is no spacing), that CSS class is missing from the wrapper <div>.
Any ideas?

I did notice that I still can't bold a header but that's not such a big deal as long as the paragraph spacing is fixed.
Oh, thank goodness it's not just me! Have your IT admins looked into the Service Health? We have one incident for Sharepoint that doesn't sound related:

Based on my test, it seems that I can't reproduce the same situation in the Text web part. I have recorded a video about the situation on my side. Also, the following screenshot is the situation when I published the page. If my understanding conflicts with your meaning, please point it out and provide a full screenshot for us to better understand.
If the Text web part still doesn't display the paragraph spacing on your side, please try to use another browser, like Edge, open the private window of the browser, go to the page, insert a new Text part, then check again. Also, you can try to input the content in a Word document, then copy and paste the content into the Text web part, then check again.
If the situation still happens, please ask your admin/IT department to go to Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Health> Service health to check if there are any related service incidents in your tenant. If so, please wait for the repair. If not, please create a support ticket via Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> New service request. That support team there will have the correct channel and resources to help you investigate more and find what exactly the reason has caused this situation.
