For outlook they explained to us that in some cases, it could be this registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\XX.X\Common\Identity\EnableADAL
Must be set to 1
If it's set to 0 , that might be the problem.

In our terminal server environment it didn't work. It always depends on which session host we land on and it's not the same for everyone: for me, mail only works on one of the 2, for other colleagues it works on the other. We still have the profiles managed with fslogix.

Neither the Microsoft partner who follows us nor Microsoft itself have been able to help us and now the onedrive problem has been added.

My guess is that it's because we haven't turned on multifactor authentication. Unfortunately, for various reasons, we cannot do this.

We are having this problem on M365 business apps (E3 license).

But problem is not only with Onedrive, also with Outlook. It stopped syncing mails.

The difference to Onedrive is that Outlook does not give any error, it just says that it needs password, but when we click on in nothing happens.

I wrote to MS support, we will see what they have to say about it.

I cobbled together a PowerShell script to install OneDrive, disable the update service and scheduled task. Seems to have worked.

ETA: A user is still having the error after installing 23.02.
