I keep getting an error message whenever I use onenote that says "your system has run out of application memory". It pops up after a couple minutes and has been going on for about a week now. Prior to this it had never happened. this is extremely frustrating because i need to use onenote for medical school. has anybody else had this issue and how do i fix it? i dont know if it has something to do with the new apple update? Plzzzzz help!!

It's hard to give you an exact date because of the staggered way in which we rollout Office Updates, but I can tell you that an improvement had been checked in.. and its a matter of releasing the update that should reach customer before end of year.
I have been having the same issue recently (no issues before) after starting up my medical school year again. All of my first year classes are on a separate notebook, and there is no issue adding new lecture pdfs to a new MS2 notebook, however, when I try to sync, my system memory jumps to over 15gb as indicated by my activity monitor. This leads to my system crashing and unable to sync.
I have the most up to date One note app and my mac operating system is up to date. Please advise how to resolve this.
I have also been having this problem (also in med school haha I get the frustration)! I currently only have one notebook open and have never had this problem before about 6 weeks ago when I would frequently be running up to a dozen notebooks - I have a brand new laptop so this really shouldn't be an issue.
This did not help. I need to have multiple notebooks open and have had no issues having multiple notebooks open up until now. Why is this now an issue? this is so frustrating. I have told everyone not to use onenote because there are too many issues. I have too many notes in onenote to switch so i need to figure out how to fix this issue ASAP
Same exact thing happening here as a student in physician assistant (PA) school. I also only have one notebook open at a time and have never had the problem before, but now anytime I open OneNote it immediately slows down my computer drastically and pulls up that pop-up window saying that OneNote is using a ridiculously higher amount of "application memory" than any other app I have open (42 GB compared to like 300 MB). Need a fix fast!
