Unable to sign-in to Microsoft Defender on Android devices for child accounts

I purchased a M365 Family subscription so I could use Defender for Individuals on my and my children's devices. The subscription is being shared with both children's MS accounts. I can sign into Defender normally on my PC and Android device, but when I try to sign into the Defender app with their Microsoft accounts on their Android tablets, I get an error: "Invalid license, please contact administrator".

This is happening on two different Android tablets with both their accounts, so I don't think it's a device based issue. Is anyone else seeing a similar issue trying to setup Defender for Individuals on a M365 Family subscription?

    Also still having this issue. Seems like Android devices managed by Google Family Link can't be enrolled in Defender. It'll be 6 months soon, would be nice to get some update or acknowledgement from Microsoft.

    Interesting. So maybe it's a mix of newer versions of Android and having a device managed by Google Family Link? In my experience the issue is on Android devices using Family Link, regardless of which MS account you try to login with.

    I still have not heard back on either ticket I opened or my emails to Android Defender email address. It would be nice if we'd at least get acknowledgement that the issue exists under certain circumstances. Unless Defender for Android is just not compatible with Google Family Link for some reason.

    Hi., this is an issue with IOS devices as well, I think from the last update. Unable to login to Defender App with Microsoft 365 family subscription.
