Brought here by a search? Sorry but the only two possible solutions in the thread (worked for 2 people) are on page 9.

I'm trying to create a E5 Subscription but when I get to phone verification step, I get an error while trying to send the code to my phone number:

We can't continue with the signup process for the following reason:

  • Your phone number did not pass security checks.

I've been using this phone number for over 10 years.

Microsoft 365 and Office | Subscription, account, billing | For education | Other

    I'm facing the same issue since Apr, 2023. Even the customer support doesn't have any fix for this strange issue. I'm using the same phone across all other Microsoft services, everything is working except this thing.

    There's no fraudulent or spam activities in my phone number, but still then Microsoft 365 E5 Developer throws an error Your phone didn't pass security checks with an error code 40315.

    We just can't get more phone number for accessing your services, do provide genuine fix for an issue. I've been raising this issue since Apr, 2023.
