Brought here by a search? Sorry but the only two possible solutions in the thread (worked for 2 people) are on page 9.

I'm trying to create a E5 Subscription but when I get to phone verification step, I get an error while trying to send the code to my phone number:

We can't continue with the signup process for the following reason:

  • Your phone number did not pass security checks.

I've been using this phone number for over 10 years.

Microsoft 365 and Office | Subscription, account, billing | For education | Other

    What an annoying problem. My cell number, and at least 3 others I've tried, all fail the security check. They are registered in the USA on the Verizon and ATT networks. No idea why it fails, and good luck getting Microsoft support on this.

    Same as here , back and forth with another new account be created. Another issue happned was the too many phone numbers to submit. Any Clue ?

    This issue is really annoying, trying to register for developer account but due to this we are unable to create developer account. Kindly update on this.
