Trying to connect message when Saving in Excel 365

Same issue in our office. All users with O365. It started over this past weekend (07/09/2022). Only Excel files when doing a Save As, Browse. Some users experience it with File Open.

All other applications work without issue. Nothing in event viewer shows any problems.

    You will need to disable the service, stopping it is not enough. The service is a manual one and Office calls it to start.

    I can now confirm that it happens when "My Documents" is redirected to a DFS share or directly a server share!

    We have the same problem too with DFS profile user and Office H&B 2019 2206!!

    I have stopped manually the services "Web Client" on my workstation and it haven't resolve the issue (but My Excel was already opened).

    I would like to know witch GPO exactly are you refering to disable WebClient Service.

    Also, what are the impacts of disabling that service (on Sharepoint access and all Microsoft Cloud solution, Teams, ...).
