For OneDrive home and business, I cannot disable Files-On-Demand since the last update. This is crucial, I need full access to my files at all time.
What is going on? Why would you enforce Files On-Demand on your customers, isn't it enough to enable it by default? My 70GB of cloud data is not local anymore, sometimes I have no internet, you are locking me away from my files. Also making it impossible for me to do full text searches. Files On-Demand is also too slow, waiting a second to display folder contents is too much when you organize things in deep folder structures.
How I can disable Files On-Demand? Will you please stop knowing the best for your customers? We aren't toddlers. Thanks!
If Files On-Demand is enforced by policy, I will leave your cloud service once and for all.

I am meeting the same problem: you may save up space for us (that I did not need to save), but onedrive kills my RAM. I cannot work at all if I am syncinc, which is unfortunately going to give me no choice but to leave your services... Please help with this.

I want a simple setting that lets me sync my entire OneDrive to multiple computers. Like in the olden days. I'm cool with it being in the cloud, too, but I feel better when I have multiple backups locally. Also, I use two computers for regular work, so yeah. I need access to the files and have gotten used to the idea that I don't have to treat one computer as a Samba server -- even though that is a nice work-around during these dark ages when OneDrive doesn't work properly with Macs.
While I'm here: Please give me some kind of "sync now" option. I don't love waiting 2-5 minutes for a tiny little file to synchronize from one computer to the cloud then down to the other computer. Not a very good workflow. Makes customers angry.

This ridiculous update introduced by the way critical bug on macOS:
I have my OneDrive folder and files on a partition formatted as HFS+
But HFS plus does not support files on demand.
So what the OneDrive do? Crashes -61 saying "Files on demand cannot be enabled."
Yes, it cannot and never will be, so the app should stay on current settings—especially if the partition cannot support FoD.

You didn't ask me, but I moved to pCloud and am very happy. Mac client works fast and smooth, and the iPhone app is also good. What made me recommend them now is that they replied within a couple hours on support when I sent a message to their Facebook page. I also like that they offer a 500GB plan, which suits my ~300GB perfectly. The best thing: they have a backup-feature for OneDrive (and other services), so to move all your files, just enter your login info and pCloud takes care of the rest. It's a bit slow, took 2 days, but worth it.
I'm not associated with pCloud in any way, I was just really happy with them when OneDrive went to hell and took my files with them.
