Microsoft Office has Identified a Potential Security Concern

Hi,

Starting this afternoon, when I copy an paste an HTML-based wiki file (from Zendesk) into Word, I see the attached error.

I perform this operation numerous times, and never saw this notice until today. I have Word 365 Win10.

The problem does not occur when I paste a Confluence page.

Can someone clarify this message for me? What do they mean by "Choosing YES will enable updating all fields in this file..." What fields? And are they talking about the source file or target file?

This is a bug in the current build - Microsoft is aware if the issue and working on a fix - but I have no ETA for when it will be fixed.

    Great, another bug from 2 years ago is reintroduced into the current build.

    Is there a setting that we can change to suppress this warning? My wife downloads a lot of quilting/embroidery files and creates her own documents in support of these files. To have to click yes every time she pastes an image to a new document, she has to click yes, and this creates a lot of clicks over a day.

    I have tried different settings in the trust center and nothing works. This is very frustrating for her and me when I spend most of my morning trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft product.

    Hopefully, they will fix this soon and not let it sit for months on end.

    Thank you for the information. I'm relieved to know it's not something on my computer. That said, is it safe to click YES when that window pops up?

    ll live with the bug. and extra mouse click. Won't bother to roll back esp. per GoomerCid's remark:

    Thanks for letting us know there is a bug. But the fix to roll back and disable updates is not workable. When will we know the bug has been fixed? I have been waiting on a bug introduced in the iOS version of Outlook over 8 months ago to be fixed and so far not idea as no one will reply except to say sorry you have problems.
