Printing Envelopes in Word - Blank Page Printing After

Using Word 2016

Printing form letters and envelopes is a large part of my job. For years I've been able to go to the mailings tab, select envelopes, have the address extracted from the letter and print the envelope no problem. As of this week, every time I do this a blank sheet of paper prints out after the envelope. To clarify, there is not a blank page being added to my document, just a blank page being printed out after the correctly printed envelope. One proposed solution I've seen is to disable two-sided printing which I have done and it did not solve the problem.

Update:

While I have not been able to solve the root problem of Microsoft printing an extra page when printing envelopes, I was able to change printer settings to stop the issue. In printer preferences (for my printer, under the detailed settings tab) I turned disable blank page print on. I want to clarify that this is not the cause of the problem, as I have had this setting off for years and never had this issue, but it does fix the problem :)

    Same just started happening with me last week (Office 365). Tried all suggestions here, nothing seems to work.

    Thankfully this does not happen when mass mail merging envelopers. Only one-offs from a letter so I just keep my drawer 1 open and cancel the print job after each envelope prints as so no blank page comes out.

    It does not appear to be a separator page as this is off on printer as is print blank pages, but just to test it, I changed my separator page to my 2nd drawer on my printer yet it still prints the blank page from drawer 1. Very frustrating, Please fix this!

    This problem has plagued my office for two weeks now and it's beyond frustrating. I, too, have just sent feedback, in ALL CAPS no less! Hopefully they will take this seriously.

    I don't have O365 but a coworker who does tried this and it didn't fix it. By the way the "repair" was Msoft uninstalling/reinstalling Office which took a while. I have Office 2016 on my laptop so the problem doesn't seem to be version related.

    I agree. It reinstalled Teams which we do not use as it takes up precious memory!
