I created a new plan and it came with the Default 6 color Labels for tasks. I do not need that many. How do I delete the unwanted colors/options? I can only find information on editing labels or how to add them to a task.

would like to add my vote to the list of being able to delete labels that no longer use. This is not useful when "Group by Label" and the deleted label still appears.
Very surprised that this feature STILL isn't added. The delete function needs to be an option.
It appears Microsoft is no longer making changes that help drive improvements with the Planner, so I would agree. Seems Like its abandonware. I hope Microsoft personnel read this and give Planner some more support as the premise is good, just the execution is too limited.
Please add the functionality to delete tags or even move them around, causes a lot of noise.
I would like to add my vote to the list of being able to add/delete or at the very least reorganize the labels. I don't want to use all the colors but the labels I do rename are scattered amongst the other unused labels forcing people to search or scroll to find what they need. They should either be right at the top as most frequently used/renamed or allow us to remove the unused labels.
