Onenote sync issue error E000283C

Hi,

I am continually having sync issues between my 2 Windows 10 computer and mt ipad using Onenote. This has been working fine until last night. The iPad contains the latest changes to one particular notebook and when I try to sync shows an error message " Onenote can't sync your notes at the moment. We'll keep trying' with a code E000283C. Both Windows 10 apps show that the notebook is saved offline and that the computer doesn't appear connected to the internet. Well they ARE connected to the internet and when I try to access the notebooks online they are very slow to load up but eventually get there.

 I have checked the service status page with no faults showing and my onedrive syncs fine so I am assuming that the Microsoft service is at fault here. I have read elsewhere not to log out of the account if there are changes pending as they will be lost but I need to get this resolved.

    Mine is being very iffy about when it is working.

    Worked beautifully for my lesson on Friday 17th at 8:30am and again at 2:00pm. 

    Monday 19th rolls around and working in the morning for my 10:30am meeting but then my 1pm tutorial....Nope. Same error as the original post. Started working again at 8:00pm that night.

    Didn't have any lessons Tuesday so didn't test it. But today (Wednesday 22nd) working great up until 10:20am then the error happened again right before my 11am lesson (cries). After typing algebra solutions into OneNote for an hour and a half I have checked the error code again and it has now changed to E0001462 bukxq 19999.

    The error is only visible on the windows app version of OneNote but OneNote 2016 doesn't update either and my tablet is in a constant state of syncing.

    I hope there is a solution soon.

    I have also noticed the error code has changed.  I am working with OneNote on Mac but also report of Windows 10 (mainly OneNote app) having issues.

    Hi,

    I have the same issue with Onenote, however I also have Onenote 2016 installed and it sync's fine.

    Here in NZ, we have started Term 2, and this is definitely not the best way to start the school term.  Very frustrating and disappointing.

    I'm having the exact some issue and error E000283C - it started yesterday 21.04.20 - my team works via OneNote and this is making it very hard to know who has up to date information.

    Same here and with my colleagues. I was on a conference call and one guy in US and one in AUS had synch'd data. Two in AUS did not. After spending a couple of hours trying to rectify found this thread. Definitely not fixed and it's part of my Microsoft 365 subscription (no longer called Office 365 I found out). Anyway, OneNote is broken still.
