TEAMS on MAC launching fullscreen

How do I stop TEAMS from launch into full screen? It just started doing this.

Microsoft 365 and Office | Subscription, account, billing | For home | Windows

    Agreed, this is very annoying and I am by no means fond of Teams but I'm wondering if this actually is just a Teams issue. I mean, isn't the OS's window manager responsible for maintaining/persisting position and size of application windows? Granted, this only happens with Teams, though

    Same thing here. Mac OS Big Sur, M1 Mac mini, Teams version 1.4.00.4971. Truly pathetic this was allowed through QA. More pathetic it is still not fixed. I mean, who ever wants this app to fill the screen? Not an issue with Slack which works exactly as expected. Or every other app on my computer for that matter.

    Same issue for me. Close the window. Reopen it, and boom, Teams wants the whole screen. A MS programmer working on a 11" Macbook who thinks this is fine behaviour?
